Study Of Some Birds At Barnegat Jetty, February 4th, 2010
The prospect of being "snow-bound" for a few days with my wife, daughter and two year old grandson, was ample reason to get me to drive to Barnegat Light State Park yesterday.

The
Top Of The Barngat Lighthouse
What a fortunate decision! The birds were there, in bright sunshine, which ultimately resulted in a fun day for this old picture-taker.
In any event, species seen but not photographed were:
American
Crow
American Pipits
Third Year Bald Eagle
Cooper's Hawk
European Starlings
Great Black-backed Gulls
Great Cormorant
Merlin
Peregrine Falcon
Snow Buntings
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Still, there were lots of Long-tailed Ducks, Scoters, Red-breasted Mergansers, Harlequins and a single 1st Year Male Common Eider to keep my camera busy.
