Photo Study Of Some Birds At Bombay Hook NWR, August 17th, 2010

Ed Norman and I hit Bombay Hook NWR and Port Mahon Ditch yesterday. Our target birds were the Western Kingbird and the Hudsonian Godwit that had been reported seen for the past few days. We got lucky! Also, there were more than one thousand wading birds (Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Glossy Ibises, Tri-colored and Little Blue Herons, etc. ) and even more shorebirds throughout the Refuge. While the light was very tricky most of the day, we were still able to get some photographs of birds and insects not to mention a beautiful Red Fox who greeted us on the road between Raymond's and Shearness.
