Study Of Some Birds At E.B. Forsythe NWR (Brigantine), June 21st, 2010
Bright
sunshine for a few hours yesterday, with the right tides, gave us some
very
good photographs of several birds. An American Oystercatcher,
four different Black-crowned Night Herons, three Clapper Rails, two Glossy Ibises,
four showy Black Skimmers and a
courtship and/or staging
flight by sixteen Willets (unfortunately into the sun) filled up a
couple
of memory cards.

And,
of course,
the ever-present, very nasty, Salt Marsh Greenhead Fly (Tabanus

which I was hoping would bite
the dust on my car window before it had a chance to bite me!
