E.B.Forsythe (Brigantine) August 15-16th, 2009
We were able to get to Brig for a few hours yesterday and again early this morning. The Roseate Spoonbill was still there albeit too far for my camera to get a decent shot. There were lots of sandpipers on the tidal mud...mostly Semipalmateds but there were also lots of other shorebirds including Whimbrels, Dowitchers, Willets, Egrets and Black Skimmers. In addition to the birds, the very beautiful Halloween Pennant Dragonflies were everywhere:
