El
Paso, Texas has 202 days of sunshine per year, one of the highest of any city
in the United States, but not this week! In any event, I was able to
get a private tour of the Rio Bosque Wetlands Park by its
Manager, naturalist John Sproul. It is an amazing birding resource and I did
get a bunch of photographs despite the very poor light. The Park is a 372 acre
desert garden, restored by the use of treated waste water from the El Paso Sewerage
Treatment Plant. I was able to spend a couple of sunnier hours yesterday before
going to the airport and I
have updated the photographs on my webpage below.
