My introduction to fly-fishing was at the age of twelve; it has become a lifelong addiction. I am ever fascinated with the fish; the fishing; the fly-tying; the fly-tying materials; the beautiful flies; the books; the entomology; the marine biology; the history; the equipment; the traditions; the mythology; the comradery, and, of course, the incredibly beautiful habitat in which both trout and salmon have chosen to reside. Next year, we definitely plan to fish for salmon either last week or next week!

The first image is a shadow box full of a bunch of my salmon fly-tying stuff. The second is a collage including a group of antique Parmachene Belles. The third picture shows a neat Brown Trout sipping a bug in Armstrong's Spring Creek. The fourth image is a still life of my Simms vest, Sage 4-weight SP+ rod and a Ross Canyon reel, etc. on the bank of Flat Creek in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The fifth picture shows my vest, rod and hat resting on a rock next to the Little Truckee River in northern California. The next image is an awesome David A. Footer mount of a seventy-five+ pound (53inches by 34 inches) Atlantic Salmon (which, by the way,  proudly hangs on my fly-tying room wall.) The rod is an Orvis Wes Jordan with a Model 50 Bogdan Reel. The seventh image shows an incredible David Footer woodcarving of a 12 pound Brookie from Annemarie Lake in Labrador in the hands of the carver. The eighth image is an example of the classic Canadian hairwing salmon fly, the Rusty Rat. The last is the classic fulldressed featherwing salmon fly, the Greenhighlander.
