This poem explores the relationship of friendship.  Bob Greene and I had been friends since childhood, the sons of two best friends. He died 12 years ago. We miss him!

                    Ode To Friendship

                    Like Family, from Childhood, Friend,
                    ‘Gainst ev’ry Foe, we’ll e’er defend;
                    Judgmental ne’er, you can depend,
                    In Mem’ry till Life’s very End.
                    A Spouse or Parent can’t compete,
                    With this Alliance so replete;
                    His Time too short, though bittersweet,
                    Unrivaled Siblings, quite complete!
