Photo Study Of Some Shorebirds Plus At Pine Run Reservoir (Bucks County), September 23rd, 2010

    The drought this year cut both ways. Earlier it created a good deal of mud at Green Lane (Montco) and Pine Run (Bucks) that attracted lots of shorebirds during migration.
    However, the water is drying up and the mud has turned to adobe resulting in the shorebirds moving on. There were half as many shorebirds at Pine Run yesterday as there
    were just a few days ago. However, the waders, e.g. Great Egrets and Great Blue Herons, are hanging in because the lower water with its concentration of fish makes it easier
    for them to find prey. Nevertheless, there still were some photo ops:
