Racism is one of our two most virulent societal cancers (the other is greed). Either will ultimately, and justifiably, do us in.  I consider bias against ethnicity, gender, age, weight, disabilities, sexual preference and strangers to all be sub-sets of “racism”. Primates seem to be the only creatures capable of indulging in this despicable behavior.

                      Cause for Extinction

                    Man’s Racism, infectious Plight,
                    A cruel, malignant, evil Blight;
                    No Cure as yet, but it just might,
                    Be Shades of Gray, not Black, not White.

                    Oh, Why must we discriminate,
                    Humiliate and segregate,
                    Our very Souls, to denigrate?
                    If People hate; won’t integrate,
                    Or learn to trust, communicate,
                    This World could end, disintegrate;
                    Perhaps we should; miscegenate!
