After buying and selling five homes, I’ve come to the conclusion that the Real Estate profession represents neither the buyer nor the seller. The truth  appears to be that they really only represent themselves. This harsh judgment, unfortunately, has been continually reinforced with each personal experience.

  Caveat emptor

Caveat venditor

                    Show Houses made of Wood or Brick,
                    So Buyers, Sellers, take your Pick,
                    Be careful, though, stay politic,
                    You’re in the Realtors’ Bailiwick;
                    ‘Tis Carrot first and then the Stick!

                    Oh wonder what makes Agents tick;
                    They move in Circles pretty slick;
                    The Things they do are almost sick;
                    It does no good to scream or kick,
                    To get Commissions is their Shtick!

                    Distrust the Broker’s Rhetoric,
                    They’ll butter up for Listings, quick,
                    Manipulate, use ev’ry Trick,
                    Then play you like a Country Hick;
                    They all must think that we’re just thick!
