Louis Comfort Tiffany made his beautiful stained glass in a factory located in Corona, Queens, Long Island. We found this lamp in Christ Church, New Zealand in 1987. Its provenance shows that it was made in New York City in 1904 and then went to London, England. In 1911 it moved to Christ Church.

                           ...now it’s here.  What goes around comes around!

                    Magic Lamp

                    Corona’s Light, stained, colored Glass,
                    Dichroic Jewels, paned, Rainbows pass;
                    Through Shades o’Night; Mosaic, Brass,
                    Patina's Glow; veined Touch of Class;
                    Of Daffodils in Blades of Grass,
                    Beaux Arts Nouveau; none dare surpass;
                    Beware the Faux; they’re there alas!

                    Red Trumpet Vine electrifies,
                    Peach Columbine yet vitrifies,
                    Each cobwebbed Scene just mystifies;
                    Fine Turtlebacks; green Peacock’s Eyes;
                    Wisterias; rare Dragonflies;
                    Nasturtiums fair; blue, turquoised Skies;
                    Poised, Tiffany, e’er beautifies!
